Tri-Wheel Dolly

Redesigned a mobile banking app to streamline onboarding and improve usability, resulting in a 23% increase in transaction success rate.

Project 1: I led the end to end engineering design of a three wheeled dolly intended to safely move heavy objects up and down stairs. I drove early brainstorming, product definition, and CAD design using AutoCAD, then translated concepts into a fully functional physical prototype through hands on woodworking and material selection. By evaluating durability, weight, cost, and usability, I engineered a solution that balanced performance with real world constraints. Project 2: I conducted customer discovery interviews and extensive market, competitor, and patent research to understand existing solutions and identify gaps in functionality and pricing. I analyzed competitor pricing and developed financial projections to ensure our product delivered greater value while remaining competitive. This research informed both product differentiation and go to market positioning, grounding engineering decisions in user needs and market realities. Project 3: I led pitch development and represented our team at the Chicago Regional Engineering Design & Development Showcase, competing against teams from across Illinois. Our fully working prototype and clear value proposition earned 1st Place in the competition, and the experience culminated in securing a scholarship based on the project. Beyond the outcome, the project demonstrated my ability to lead with ownership, push execution beyond requirements, and deliver under real competitive pressure.
